Should have trusted my first instinct

Hi there all other victims of the heldy, I should have gone with my gut instinct, I had a niggling feeling some thing was not quite right with him after the auction, I hit the buy now on a grinder and so it began, I'd read his feedback when it first came up for auction and all looked well once I'd won the auction I re-checked and noticed he had no feedback for being a seller #1 concern for me.
I got the request for payment including freight, being a Little worried about his lack of feedback as a seller I asked if he wouldn't mind waiting a couple of days for feedback to be placed by a guy Joe in Germany I had seen had brought a grinder from heldy a couple of weeks before, in the mean time I sent Joe an email just to check whether he had received his grinder he replied and hadn't seen it as yet but would let me know when it had arrived.
Heldy then replied to my email not happy at all to wait and pushing for immediate payment #2 concern, I emailed him back apologizing for my hesitation but told him if it were the other way around I wouldn't have minded at all if I were selling something and the buyer wanted to see another buyers feedback posted........... NOT GOOD ENOUGH!! for the heldy tho he really started to demand immediate payment or he was going to re-list "he needed the money NOW because he was going on vacation"( I know where I'd like to send him on vacation now it's as far south as you can get and Fu#ken Hot with a dude in a shiny red suit with a pitchfork) oops did i say that out loud.... being pressured as much as I was I really started to dig my heels in and emailed him back and said I would NOT paypal him until I'd seen a positive feedback from another buyer if he had to re-list so be it.A few more bitching emails from him about needing the money which I replied to politely re-stating my position then nothing, about two weeks later I checked his feedback again and he had a positive from a guy who brought another similar tool I thought all was well so I contacted the as#hole I mean heldy to check whether he still had it and wanted to sell, he did so I sent him the money that was about two months ago and here we are......................... Should have trusted my first instinct

P.S
I feel a little lucky he offered me several other tools at about 2K , I'm pretty damn pleased I didn't take him up on his offer.

Hi all, I also had a bad experience with Mr. heldy02. This guy unfortunately responded to me telling me he had shipped so I was a being patient, it wasn't till I found out that he had scammed many others that I also knew I had been taken by this guy.

I believe I will be covered by paypal but I am committed to getting this creep busted so whatever I can do to help any of the other victims, I am in.

Paypal claim update

Ok folks, scratch that it's ending on the 9th. Seems that Heldy paid attention to that date as well. I got an update from paypal last night: "The seller has provided the following information in response to your complaint, indicating that the item was shipped." Included was a tracking number from USPS and an option to cancel my claim, less the investigation will continue.
Well, the tracking number shows (online) that something was mailed from Pana, IL on 9/6.
I just got back from the wonderful PO and they were able to provide a little more. The package was shipped to my zipcode, priority mail and weighs over 14 lbs. So, given that it was shipped to my address, it should get here tomorrow or monday.

Paypal's email did not show Heldy's wording, and I did not receive an email from him about this. Anyone else get a claim update? ... Doc? murfness?

How to Report your case

Here's what I have done so far and you can too:This is important to not only get this scammer busted, but for any possible retribution to the victims:

Filed a report with FBI:http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/
Filed a report with NFIC:https://secure.nclforms.org/nficweb/nfic.htm

I also filed a dispute and claim with paypal (as you will be directed to by ebay, if you go thru their system first). Seller has limited time to respond/settle dispute and given that they don't come thru, buyer should win the dispute. Paypal buyer protection:http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_pbp-info-outside#buyer
Keep in mind, you only have 45 days to file a claim with paypal from date of purchase.

If you paid thru paypal with a credit card, call that company and dispute the charge - (some allow disputes up to 90 or more days from purchase).

This site works with law enforcement and ebay: https://www.leadsonline.com/eblm/http://www.leadsonline.com/main/default.aspx

Report Heldy02 to your local law enforcement and inform them of leadsonline if needed.I am currently giving my local law enforcement information of my case and others, as they file in. I have also consulted an attorney and the advice was to definitely go to local law enforcement with the case. That more than the charge of Internet fraud may be eligible. My attorney also stated that in such cases as these, the sentencing/probation usually includes retribution to the victims. (For some or most of us, this may be the only way we will get the money back that we lost)

I will update on my filings with these entities as info comes in

My story.... what's yours?

I bought a Flexview Helmet (w/9002x lens) with adflo system from Heldy02 on the night of August 4th. I paid for it immediately thru paypal with paypal and bank account funds- total: $725.00. I got the first ill feeling about this seller, the next day. Why? because a worthy seller will acknowledge that you bought and paid for an item quickly - especially when the item cost is over $100, let alone $700. I received nothing from Heldy. I sent him an email the night I bought it, asking when and how he would ship the item; still no reply. The next day or so, I sent another email , again asking the same questions; no reply. 6 days after purchase, I sent the 3rd email (a little more stern) and got a reply which was:

" No im on vacation until monday sorry its been hard down here finding a wireless signal, i will be home sunday and sship it out first thing monday morning."

Pretty lame, but I still hoped that I wasn't f##ked over. I needed the adflo system for a mig/tig class that was starting soon. A week after the 'monday', I emailed again stating that I had received nothing and if he could not deliver - to refund me. Nothing from Heldy after that and nothing to this day, which is over a month from original purchase.

In the interim, I was on a family vacation to AK and did not have full access to internet or my info. Prior to leaving, I started a dispute on this transaction with paypal and upon my return, 9 days after opening dispute, I escalated it to a claim. In the meantime, Heldy was still selling (ripping more people off) and I had responses from 'murfness', another victim that had purchased the same item a few days after I had. He was having the same experience with Heldy... no item delivered and a lame response. I then did research on ebay and found all Heldy's sales for the last month - and I left negative feedback. I emailed the amount that ebay would allow (only 4 per day) and some of you have responded with similar stories. I also got a few emails due to my neg. feedback - and was able to warn potential buyers and trade notes with yet another victim that had purchased the same item I did. This is an example of why it is important to leave negative feedback. Not only did this save others from being a potential victim, but allow past victims to communicate and get motivated to bust this scammer.

Internet Fraud is a crime and many do get busted for it, including ebay sellers. I need you to help get Heldy prosecuted and to help the internet buying experience be a positive one. Please add your experience with Heldy here.
